Imma back!So sorry for not updating yesterday... As stated in the previous post, played Mstar with ma sis till quite late and I'm lazy to update yesterday as I was damn tired... Alrights, enough with all those sayings and shall we start? Lesson yesterday was quite okay. Reached quite late as the bus was late... So, can't blame me alrights. HAHA :D But actually, these few days, I have been late for lessons. Wonder what's the reason... Lesson ended at 11. Went to Refresh to grab breakies and at 12pm, met the lecturers and the rest of the mates for the Sarah Elderly Gardenia Bread Factory Trip. After that, went to TeckWhye's Mac as Mr Ng was treating us. Walk back to school afterwards and boarded the bus and off we go to meet the elderly.
This JunCai purposely one...
Upon reaching, there was so many elderly and we didn't know which one was our partner... But then, this lady actually was very excited that she asked the organizer who her caretaker was and Mr Ng announced her name and it turns out to be me. She is super friendly and cute. She sounds exactly like my dearest Grandma.
Board the bus with them and off we go to Gardenia Bread Factory.
Reached and alighted and one thing I hate the most is that they made the elderly climb stairs. There's no freaking escalator or a lift? What is this? I believe some of the elderly might have problems. And so, we climbed with them to ensure their safety and some of them climb super fast. WOW!
Entered a auditorium where the front is filled with different types of bread. And some of it are those that I have not even sen it...
Couldn't take picture while touring the factory...
And so, after the tour in factory, we proceeded back to the auditorium for some refreshment by the factory...
Giving out the refreshment to the elderly first before we have it...
After that, it was time to bid goodbye to the factory and I really hope all the elderly who went had a memorable time spent with us. Actually on the bus, Kenneth and me had a small chat with this uncle and he said it was actually lonely. The things they do repeat almost every day. They would sometimes have a small gathering under the block with a group of friends or they would just stay indoors. This uncle was actually somehow negative. He said that it was a sooner thing for him to leave this world to enter another beautiful world. It aches my heart upon hearing this and it's like, they feel less loved? Or something like that...
Previously in secondary school, back in Sec 1, my class went to Kong Wai Shu Hospital for CIP duties. Doing this trip with the Sarah Elderly ticks the memory back in the hospital where I can see some of the lonely and disappointed faces of some elderly.
I really just hope that more volunteers are able to volunteer up to have some fun with these elderly and make their day happier as it is. They are very easily satisfied. Just the grandma I took care of, she is very cheerful and would always start up a conversation with everyone. If only the uncle could be like her...
Backed home and bathed. Played Mstar and had dinner. Reflected a bit and listened to some ballad sogs and fell to sleep... Another sense of achievement. Memorable trip with my classmates, lecturers and the elderly. Hope there will be more of this volunteer work :D
Shall end my post here and the next post would be my last part of the KL trip. I know it has been delayed for quite sometime. So sorry. I still have Lyn's ad to do... Will speed up everything :D
Comment and love ya <3
